I do NOT think Officer Crowley should meet with Obama and Gates for a beer at the White House

I do NOT think Officer Crowley should meet with Obama and Gates for a beer at the White House. They are just using him. Obama need to diffuse this debacle and is using him and Gates to get more face time. Officer Crowley would be making a big mistake attending that "so call beer drinking party." And lowering himself to be thought of as some stereotypical white Cop who drinks beer and eats donuts is an insult. Being a Police Office is a hard working, low paying job that is usually misunderstood. Police officers probably work harder and longer then any other job and still have very little respect. Especially when compared to a Harvard Professor.

  1. TBL, it's a setup to make Crowley look like a lesser man. This immature behavior on the part of the president and his loser buddy leaves out one part of the equation: They pissed off everyone in Law Enforcement and now they both have to answer for it.

  3. It's a setup to get two individuals together and make right what was wrong.

And I have to disagree with you 100% when you say Sgt. Crowley shouldn't meet with President Obama. I have no use for President Bush. But out of respect for the office he held, if the President invites you, you go.

For him not to go would only add credibility to Professor Gates with whom I'm closer to your opinion of in this matter TBL than you may think.

Success to you and your blog TBL.

  6. Wait Truth, I don't remember any executive order calling for him to make comments on local law enforcement or to ask people to kiss and make up when only one person is wrong here; a guy with a history of calling people 'whitey'.

The president should keep up his usual job of trying to divert people. It turns the public off when he insults their intelligence by uttering, "What's that over there?" when his healthcare plan fails.

Please mr obama, keep saying foolish things, YES YOU CAN...get your ratings into the 20s.

  7. I disagree with you. This incident is nothing but a distraction from the very real problems that our country is facing. Regardless of who is right or wrong here, I think Officer Crowley would be best serving everyone's interest to do what he can to move past this silly affair, in which no one was really hurt.

  8. Gates already acts like a raging drunken idiot of very low IQ. Give him a beer? And who knows what else might happen.

Move past what? Gates' fabricated rage? What the hell should Crowley help them move past? The third rate president shouldn't have made any statements about the incident, and now he is paying for it in the polls among his other inconsistencies.
